Who is Ashley Horner? My real life friends know that I always talk about her. My kids talk about her as if we are friends. We love to watch her Instagram stories where she gives us a glimpse into being a busy mom. I have posters of her on my home gym walls for inspiration.

Ashley Horner is a sponsored athlete with Bodybuilding.com, a business owner, and a busy mom of 3 boys. I first started following Ashley when I bought her training program Magnify You a few years back. (I also own PipeHitter, PipeHitter2, and Sweetcakes. I love them all!) Her training programs are fantastic yes, but Ashley Horner the PERSON is even more amazing. I got a chance to train with her in person this summer and I asked her how she manages to “do it all.” Her answer was that she simply loves what she does and it is her life.
This is obvious to those of us who “know” her! She lives the lifestyle and she promotes “beauty in strength” in everything that she does. She just started the Unbroken Movement to help battered women and families.
In my mind, she is the poster child for health, fitness, and positive living. Click To TweetI asked Ashley if I could “interview” her for my blog and she agreed because despite having a full busy life, she still finds the time to help and promote others!

Q: Have you always been fit? What inspired you to live a fit lifestyle?
I was an athlete growing up, but didn’t practice Health and fitness as a lifestyle. I exercised when I had too with my soccer team.

Q: What advice do you have for moms who claim they don’t have time for exercise?
I would suggest trying to include your kids with your exercise. Not only are you encouraging good habit by leading by example you’re ramping up that metabolism too.

Q: What is your least favorite exercise?
Can I say cardio is an exercise. I hate cardio, it’s so boring. I recently had to run 5 miles on a treadmill and it was the longest 5 miles of my life!!
Q: Do you have any mental tricks that you use when you just don’t feel like working out?

Yes, I do! I make myself at least show up! Whether that’s simply putting on my shoes to walk out the door or drive to the gym & usually once I get there the hard part is over with.
My go-to snack is always a Quest bar, chocolate chip cookie dough. FAV!!
Thank you so much Ashley for taking the time to answer my questions and continuing to inspire people all around the world! And thank you for all the burpees you put into your workouts that continue to kick my ass every single day! ?

This time of the year not only is a time for celebrating but also the time to welcome VISITORS to our campus. This is a key part to our success and our ability to keep offering the services we do. When our story becomes your story we all win!
The orphanage becomes a second home to individuals reaching out to learn more about our mission to larger groups that are seeking an organization to help. The MFO boys and girls cherish the love and time volunteers spend with them during this season. Personal experiences lead to the best stories and we are thankful that upon returning to the states so many of you share our story with others!
We have many plans in store for 2018:
· assisting in the successful graduation of 5 MFO Alumni completing their senior year in college,
· renewing our commitment to education for our primary school ensuring we continue our high standards,
· and we will begin to look at ways to reach out into the community to make sure children that don’t need to be in our care can be placed back with family members or other primary care givers.
With all of this on our plate we also will continue to work to meet the daily needs of food, shelter and security for all of those in our care. The help of volunteers who bring not only their time and love but also supplies of clothing, hygiene items and toys this work is not only possible it is happening every day! We are so thankful for our community and we look forward to 2018 – our 18th year of service together to the Haitian Community!
